How did you end up as Operational Director in SEA1 Offshore?
I have been sailing at sea for almost 20 years, and those were some of the best years of my life. Later years I have held several positions onshore. In 2019, I read that was a relevant position announced at SEA1 Offshore and the position was interesting because it included Brazil-Norway operation. I used to live and work in Brazil for 4,5 years, and I enjoyed it, so I wanted a position related to Brazil again. When I saw that there was an opening in SEA1 Offshore, I applied and was offered the position I held today: Operational Director for the Siem Helix-project.
What is your area of responsibility?
I am the main contact and responsible for operations on the well intervention vessels Siem Helix 1 and Siem Helix 2. These vessels are currently operating in Brazilian waters.
What do you find most exciting about your job?
What makes my everyday life exciting here in SEA1 are all the people I meet at the office and when traveling to and in Brazil. The Company also has a team in Brazil, and when working with them, we experience and learn from each other all the time. In SEA1 Offshore, you are allowed to develop yourself on several levels.
What would you tell others who want to apply for a job in SEA1 Offshore?
In SEA1 Offshore, every day is exciting! I experience a fantastic working environment with good colleagues, and everyone wants you to feel comfortable at work. There are a lot of opportunities and directions to choose from that will give you a great experience.
